After the valuable parts are removed, the remaining car body, mainly composed of metal, is crushed and shredded. 

Metals such as steel and aluminum are separated using magnets and eddy currents, then sent to metal recycling plants. These metals are melted down and repurposed into new products, reducing the need for raw material extraction.
